During the ‘Lockdown’ global Pause period of 2020 I received a concept though the processes I was undertaking at the time. I spent an hour a day communicating with an apple tree in my garden alongside attending a weekly group to communicate with elemental beings. As I was sitting in this space this was the first painting to come through was the ‘Particle of Spirit I’ which flowed through with effortless ease is one of the paintings I am most happy with from this period. The rest of the series developed from this painting and began an intensive journey into understanding the chemical and astral make up of the world that also manifests multidimensionally as an interplay to create our physical world. This painting evolved as a 3 elements joined together, as if bonded. They carry elements of one another but also seem stuck or frozen together as if some larger force holds them in their concentration to one another. I was exploring ancestral patterns at the time, releasing ancestral bonds that were no longer helpful to me. I made use of SRT (Spirit Release Therapy) to look at my family tree and how it affects my life, a result of 3 generations of my own family sharing a house in the Lockdown period. I had explored Family Constellation therapy previously and I felt this painting was demonstrating the bonds that can hold us, sometimes positively and at other times needing to be released so they can create something new.
